NCL Technician Recruitment 2025 Eligibility

Technician Fitter (Trainee) Cat. III:

• Matriculate or equivalent examination passed from any recognized Board of examination; &
• ITI (2 year course) in Fitter Trade along with Trade certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT and minimum 1-year Apprenticeship Training Certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT under The Apprentices Act, 1961.

Technician Electrician (Trainee) Cat. III:

• Matriculate or equivalent examination passed from any recognized Board of examination; &
• ITI (2 years course) in Electrician Trade along with Trade certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT and minimum 1-year Apprenticeship Training Certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT under The Apprentices Act, 1961.

Technician Welder (Trainee) Cat. III:

• Matriculate or equivalent examination passed from any recognized Board of examination; &
• ITI in Welder Trade along with Trade certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT and minimum 1-year Apprenticeship Training Certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT under The Apprentices Act, 1961.

NCL Technician Selection Process 2025

• Eligible candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria as on the Crucial Date, as specified under this Notification, will be required to appear for a Computer Based Test.
• The selection will be based on a candidate’s relative score in the Computer Based Test.
• Computer Based Test will be conducted separately for each post.
• The Computer Based Test will be of 100 Marks for 90 minutes’ duration (in one sitting), comprising two sections (Section-A & Section-B);
• Section ‘A’ will consist of technical knowledge (discipline related) with 70 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and
• Section ‘B’ will consist of General Knowledge, General Awareness, Reasoning, Verbal & Mental Ability and Quantitative Aptitude with 30 marks multiple choice questions (MCQs).
• Each question will carry 01 mark and there is no penalty for wrong answer.

Section ‘A’:

• Questions related to technical knowledge of discipline as per current curriculum of Indian Universities / Institute.
• Detailed Syllabus for Section ‘A’ (Technical section specific to different post) has been given in Notification.

Section ‘B’:

• General Knowledge – About India and its international relations, General Science etc.
• General Awareness – About Sports, Defence, Books, Prizes, About Indian democracy, etc.
• Reasoning, Verbal & Mental Ability – Synonym & Antonym (Hindi / English), Grammar, Relationship etc.
• Quantitative aptitude – Work relationship, Profit & Loss, Speed etc.

How to Apply NCL Technician Online Form 2025?

• The application for online registration will be hosted on the NCL website 17 April 2025.
• Applications will be received online only.
• Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an online Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.
• E-mail ID of the applicant is to be given in the application compulsorily.
• The last date for submitting online application is 10/05/2025.
